Hello Facebook oh wait..... wrong window. So about the title. Let me tell you how much my daughter loves YO GABBA GABBA! I hate to say that I am kind of partial to it myself. It is filled with color and she gets excited to sees her favorite charecters. The painter guy creeps me out a bit, but it is a kids show i guess. Now we don't allow her to watch for extended periods of time, usually 30-45 minutes. She is usually playing with something while it is on.
So is it bad that I want to link up with my wife to get more followers. I feel almost boring compared to her blog posts sometimes. Then again I am relatively new to the blogging world. Really though??? I have to ask permission to link up with my wife. And here I thought I had permission already, that almost sounds naughty... lol. Outa the gutter and on topic. Still getting the hang of links and posts. not to mention HTML buttons. I am still learning how this works in between everything going on.
So today is not mother's day, but I feel as though I needed to express to my wife how fantastic it has been that she is the mother of my child. I can not begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for this. You are wonderful Jess!!!!
Have a great wordless Wednesday!

New Year-- New Way of Thinking

Heeeeeeelllllooo Blogger!!!! Sorry for the rather interesting start to all of this. The past year was tough but manageable, but this is a new year. File 13 all the old and get to work on the new. I have come into a little bit of information on how things work at a much grander scale. It is utterly fantastic. I used to look at myself or my attitude and think it well....... sucked.
As I look at things now in a different perspective I see how utterly blind I have been to the world. I have been happy for the past year like a worker drone to a enormous hive with no chance of escape. So why not be happy with what you have, right???? Wrong!!!!
Each and every one of us has a mood or persona that we give off. Aura for those types that believe in that sort of thing. This persona depicts many things. From whether something good happens to you or if your using that black cloud as cover. For instance: My normal day started with: wait easier with a list.
Wake up: Upset
Work: Angry
Home: Upset (Or sometimes make myself upset because it wasn't the norm)
Bed: Exhausted
That was almost 365 days!!!! Really am I that bullheaded or like I said before blind. Please continue reading I am not about to turn this into an evangelical rant. Look at the root feeling, upset or angry. Don't make it about that feeling. Don't even look for what is causing this, know that you are and you can change this. I found that being in this mood will bring only more, more, and MORE bad situations. Like attracts like. Never will you find a happy person surrounded by angry people. I was unaware of this fact.
I have been told that my persona is very influential, if I am in a bad mood so is everyone around me. I was creating problems for others without me even knowing it. I thought: Well I'm pissed and I'll get over it. Without knowing it I was creating tension and several other unwanted feelings for others. As soon as I found this out I just sat there in awe. Could I possibly be "the" problem. It was a sharp shot to my pride, but yes. Well my attitude was.
For the past week I have changed my attitude, and boy what a difference. The attitudes of others begin to match my own. Even people that I do not know are influenced by it. This is insane. I can siglehandly change the views and emotions of others for the better. in turn this makes me feel better and I would think makes someone else's too. Now as for my wife, she loves it. Side note: I have more energy. If you haven't noticed from the tags, I would suggest reading or watching the video (on Netflix) "The Secret". Like any self help, conform it to how you would use it. Sorry about the length of this one. I hope you all have a great day and fantastic rest of the month. Oh baby pic of the day.

Back In Action for 2012!!!! Mount Up!!!

Well folks 2011 is officially behind us and we can't do anything to change it. I cant wait to see what 2012 has in store for us as a family. So I will start by going over exactly where the hell I have been for the last month or so. Some good, some bad.
The bad............... pay cut, more hours, family loss, and hardship. I have been told that I tend to emotionally displaced, (or I personally just try to focus on the matter at hand) which can be frustrating to others. I would rather talk about the awesomeness that has been going on.
Well being a parent is getting easier, my wife is a huge help with all of the adjustments. She is almost mobile and that is just plain nuts. She loves to wander around the house via her 6'1" chariot. Sometimes we will just walk around the house for no reason just to get up and move. She has officially found the cry that stabs me in the heart. I was ok for the longest time with her crying and being upset. It never really bothered me( it was more of a stewies mom, mom, mommy, mom skit) Just the other week she was laying there and in one single octave she had me fly off the couch (PS3 controller tossed), rushing into the next room and wondering who murdered who. It became the official "Daaaaaaaaaddddyyyy" cry. And the string is placed firmly around my neck.
Game update: Skyrim is out and Battlefield 3 is out. Blog posts to come on both of those games. As well as tips and tricks for those games. I am working on getting MW3 but the budget may not allow, we will see.
Thank you to those who have put up with my god awful posts, they will get better. I promise. " I need more time captain" Happy 2012 to all of you, and remember to pay it forward this year.

November is game time!!!
When people think of November they more than likely are thinking about Thanksgiving and Black Friday Sales. Gamers know that some of the best games come out in November (and sadly most of the time they have to wait till christmas to get the first patch)(literally......). So notable games for November, I will also touch on games for October as well. The two biggest releases will be MW3 and Skyrim. Did someone say EPIC? Finally we can get close quarters and open world murderfest on. Modern Warfare 3 is really turning on the heat especially with DICE's new engine powering Battlefield 3.(Whole other story)
Bethesda is in my opinion a powerhouse in gaming at this time. When you have games do updates to be like or simulate the scale of Bethesda games,( and fail miserably i might add *cough* rockstar)you are at the top of your game. Skyrim is set to hit the streets on 11.11.11. I sadly will more than likely be at the midnight release with bells on. I hate to say it but there is nothing quite like shooting an NPC in the face with a bow and arrow and then lighting him on fire. This game have been in the works since oblivion and has the teams from marrowind, fallout 3 and oblivion all working on this one project. If you have a chance take a look at the new Skyrim trailer on you tube.
Tada embeded (is that even a word, embeded) that right there for you. This is the live action trailer that they made. Oh quick side note. I will be featuring several groups on the internet and showcasing some of there work. No, i dont make that youtube money. I just like what they do and hope you do as well.
Moving on, since i can spend all day on skyrim. MW3 boy oh boy. Ever since we heard about battlefield 3 and MW3 comming out around the same time there has been nothing but hatred amongst the groups of gamers. Sad really. Ok, look at it this way. Apples and Oranges. You can not compare BF3 and MW3, you sure as hell dont see applejulias' and orange pies. Two totally seperate entities. Both incredible in their own light, but dont ever cross the streams Ray. Here is my favorite BF3 trailer and MW3 trailer.
The video of the week goes to Wicked Schrapnel "Dont play with your pp, or you will go blind" If you dont know who machinima is, get to know them. Awesome group of people and the most in depth gameplay and previews.

Life as a (noob) dad
Oh man.... I am about the biggest noob at being a dad there is. I actually was set on not having children in this lifetime. Who would have thought? The choice of becoming a father is a very difficult one at the least. In the beginning (segway), I was determined on living a life that was fun, carefree and of course children free. You must understand the single me cringed when a child cried. Cringed would actually be an understatement. So what made me change my mind? This is a question that I have been asked by wives of the husbands that are not ready for children and a question that I still reflect on myself.
Where to begin? At first I thought of it as giving up my life; I complained, I whined, I got over it. Then I remembered an old saying "Try looking at things from a different perspective to gain insight on the truth". So I did. I began to wonder why everyone wanted us to have children. I soon began to see why. I also began to see how selfish I had been in trying to thwart my wife's inquiry into why we were not trying for children.
To have children is a huge choice (if given the choice). It will lead to hardship to the lights you have never seen, temp fate, test the strings that hold your sanity, and ultimately turn a hard ass of a guy into a heap of jello. Yeah i know..... ack!!! This choice will not affect only you, but everyone around you. Everyone in your family will become your greatest ally, even those that you have not had contact with for quite some time. I was that guy who would get annoyed when children were around, now i can't stand being away from our family. Oh!!!! SIDE NOTE: When random people tell you that it is different when the child is yours, do yourself a favor. BELIEVE THEM!!! I hated that saying, I would follow it up with, I hate all kids. As you know things change.
In the end it is 2 choices. There are positives and negatives to every scenario. My advice: weigh them out. (Do not use happiness to counter money, it doesn't work and leads to many a fight. ...... trust me) Listen to the positives and negatives on both sides. You were given two ears and one mouth for a reason; for those who don't know (to listen twice as much as you speak). If you feel as though you are dominating the conversation, you are. Ask the dumb questions? You may get a little humor in and otherwise heated discussion.
Now for me. The reason I became a father was because I didn't believe in being selfish to my own cause. I realized how much happiness I would be suppressing, my wife and our parents for starters. I realized I had more to offer than the single funny guy that I was desperately holding on to. I realized that I have a chance to make a life.

Sitrep on day one of blog
Ok. This is my first time writing or "blogging" as my wife tells me it is. I figured i would give it a try since i am a nerd at heart and will try anything that is new and tech related. As you can guess i am a proud new father of my daughter Aria Elizabeth. I will refer to her as "A" through out the course of future blogs, mainly to save myself from typing it all the time.
So...as of August I was blessed with a baby girl. We actually were hoping for a girl. Mainly due to the fact that I was such a hellion when i was a child. I will be blogging about daily life and advice and many other things that happen to come to mind. The idea behind the title is that I happen to be an avid gamer. So juggling the life of a good father and still have time for gaming can be difficult. If you have any ideas on what I should blog about of any questions, feel free to leave them below.
